Lana Star 💫 my little squishy head 🙊🍂 I’m still in the ward here waiting for blood results so I can bring her home. She is a little jaundiced but doing great apart from that. The midwives here in Wexford were incredible, special shout out to a legend called Siobhan 🤩 @missmcvon and the labour went so so well. Jamie was allowed in for the labour but not to visit since then, because of Covid rules. Grateful for her delivery and not to be pregnant any more 🙊🙌🏼 hardest pregnancy / easiest labour. And I’m donnnnneeeee.

Watching the women and listening to all their stories in here, midwives nurses and mums. Women are incredible, what they go through, have gone through and do all over again. There’s pain and there’s rejoicing. Cycle of life. Women are heroes.

Highly recommend a little trip to KiaOra Mini farm there is so much to do and see. The girls loved it you can bring your own picnic if you don’t want to buy from cafe. We went around 10 so there were no Q’s, there’s diggers, animals, playgrounds and lots of trikes and cars for the little people to play around in... and also yummy ice cream 🍦

No disguising the sleepless nights at this point 🤣 everything gets puffy for me the last few weeks of pregnancy ! Had a gorgeous morning yesterday at the salon no kids, got an amazing pedicure badly needed cos can’t reach ! Getting things ready here in the playroom.. this room started as an office last year which has now mostly gone online and is in a filing cabinet . 🙋🏼‍♀️
Most of the baby stuff was in the girls bedroom upstairs.. I realised quickly with a small living room the office had to go and I needed one space without toys everywhere as well as the girls needing more space to play.
Now this room is a playroom/ changing area / wardrobe! I dress the girls downstairs nearly everyday so it was a waste of energy bringing clothes up and down to the bedroom .. now the bedroom looks like a dorm with 2 cotts and a toddler bed 🤣 but the majority of the toys are downstairs.. and it’s way quicker for me to put their clothes away being closer to the utility room 😅 whatever is easier right? 🤷🏼‍♀️I’d love to have had a traditional nursery room but it’s just not practical in this house and with our needs so we are making this work 👩🏼‍🤝‍👩🏻👶🏻

My little bestie since 2017 🥰 Molly arrived soon after we lost a dear friend very unexpectedly and I was going through a difficult time in business. I had to keep going and couldn’t really stop like my body needed, When I look back at the photos of 2017 I look absolutely wrecked tired puffy in every way, it was my hardest year and I’m seriously so amazed that she turned out healthy and well. I think I cried more that year and through that pregnancy than in a decade 😢.. the great thing is we all got through it together as a family and figured out how to change what and where and when and move forward even when our hearts were aching. Little Mol gave us so much hope and love and brought us into a new season and we are so grateful. I did eventually reach burn out, as there is only so far you can push yourself physically and emotionally .. there isn’t always time to STOP and heal, life is so busy at times and responsibilities don’t disappear ! During COVID lock down, I spent those months recovering in lots of ways .. I’ll share more on my blog if anyone’s interested. I am so grateful for 2020 and the healing it’s brought me inside 🙏🏻 even though loads of new challenges arrived COVID related that we are all still figuring out, I wouldn’t change anything for the world.

I’m Anna, I’m a recent enough mum to 2 little girls (MollyRose 3) and (Cassie Hope) 13mths .. with a third little girl ( Lana Star) on the way imminently 🙏🏼.

I’ve had a varied career to date, I enjoyed lots of avenues including air hostessing, coffee making, pastoral care, hospitality, software development and photography.. I opened my beauty business @annaschu.ie in 2010 a decade ago after moving home from living in Dubai U.A.E

I am very grateful to still be in business in Dublin with an amazing team that manage the salon while I do the back end work from home as I am currently also working on building the family unit here🤸🏻🤷🏼‍♀️🤪

I had plans to start a digital business called “Tellthegirls” with a friend to inspire connect and support other women in biz and in life, back in 2017, and then babies happened and plans changed 🤷🏼‍♀️. Down the line I hope to be able to incorporate interviews and stories into my account, as I think passing on help is what we all need to succeed.

I have a passion for interiors and decorating, both beauty and interiors run in the family going back generations. Creativity definitely sparks joy for me ✨even the garden. Moving into our first home last year began our very own family journey to making our house a home. It’s been painful slow due to babies, business & pregnancy but I hope in time I’ll get to share more and more on the interiors side as I think I love that bit the most.
